Visionary creators and daring entrepreneurs, the men and women from the first three generations paved the way for the family company which, more than 110 years later, would continue to defend its founding values of professionalism, respect for others and client satisfaction

In 1905, Arsène Girod, the great-grandfather of the current directors, set up an enamel works. His son Marceau would go on to innovate and develop the company. His sons would join him: Michel in 1943 and Pierre in 1949. In 1952, the company began production on its first enamel road sign panels.
